FLYFUTURE PRIVACY

PRIVACY
POLICY.

How FlyFuture handles website, waitlist, support, and game-service information.

LAST UPDATEDCOVERSGame · Website · Waitlist

Website signups and game services are different. This policy explains both, including which information goes to the providers that help them work.

About this policy

This policy explains how the FlyFuture development team (“FlyFuture,” “we,” or “us”) handles personal information in connection with our website at playflyfuture.com, email waitlist, support and creative-opportunity enquiries, and FlyFuture game builds and playtests that link to this policy.

Information is processed according to the features you use. Joining the waitlist is separate from playing the game, signing into Epic, or joining our Discord. A description of a game feature here does not mean that feature or a public playtest is available to everyone.

For the information we decide how and why to use, the FlyFuture team is the responsible operator. Contact us at cklineyt@gmail.com. This policy is not Epic’s, Unity’s, Steam’s, or Discord’s privacy policy; their own notices also apply to their services.

Website, waitlist & contact

Email waitlist

When you sign up, we collect the email address you enter, your permission to receive FlyFuture messages, the consent-copy version and signup-source marker, and submission information recorded by our form provider, such as time of submission. We use these records to manage the list and send the welcome, launch news, and playtest updates you requested.

The waitlist uses single opt-in: submitting the form does not verify ownership of the email address. Only submit an address you own or are authorised to use. Joining is free and does not guarantee a playtest invitation or game access. Playing FlyFuture does not automatically subscribe you to marketing emails.

Privacy and removal requests

We process your email address, the type of request, and any information you choose to send so we can locate relevant records, verify a request when needed, and respond. The removal form requests deletion from the email waitlist; it is not an automatic game-account deletion tool.

Support and creative opportunities

If you email us, we receive your address, message, and any name, portfolio links, screenshots, files, or diagnostic details you include. We use these to respond, investigate a problem, or discuss your proposed contribution. Do not send passwords, sign-in tokens, payment details, or unrelated sensitive information. Sending a creative enquiry does not sign you up for the waitlist.

Website connection information

Our hosting and security services process connection information needed to deliver and protect the website, which can include IP address, browser and device information, requested page, request time, and spam or error signals. The site’s externally loaded fonts also generate requests to Google.

Game accounts & multiplayer

Epic sign-in

Protected multiplayer uses Epic Online Services (EOS). The sign-in flow processes an Epic account identifier, an EOS product user identifier, authentication tokens, and sign-in status to establish a protected player identity. When a new EOS product identity is needed, the game can create one through EOS Connect. You enter your Epic credentials through Epic’s sign-in interface; this flow does not give the FlyFuture team your Epic password.

The game can initialise EOS and try to reuse an existing Epic sign-in when it starts, before you join a multiplayer session. If no reusable sign-in is available, entering protected multiplayer can open Epic’s Account Portal. Do not assume that selecting solo play prevents every platform or security service connection.

Unity online services and player-hosted sessions

FlyFuture’s multiplayer implementation uses Unity Authentication, Lobby and Relay with a player-hosted networking system. Unity Authentication can create an identifier without asking you to register a separate named Unity account. “Anonymous” sign-in in this context still produces a persistent player identifier; it does not mean the service receives no personal information.

Online services process player and session identifiers, connection information such as IP addresses, lobby membership, and the network traffic needed to connect players. Session participants and the host receive the player identity and gameplay information needed to run the session, including in-game names where used, aircraft and loadout choices, movement, combat actions, and match state. EOS product identifiers and anti-cheat messages are also exchanged for peer verification.

Local settings and diagnostics

The game stores settings and save information on your device and can write local technical logs. Logs can contain system details, errors, file paths, or identifiers. A local log is not the same as a report sent to the FlyFuture team. If you send us a log or crash report for support, review it first and remove unrelated personal information.

Game-service providers can also process their own service diagnostics under their applicable notices. This policy does not represent every local file as uploaded to us, or every provider diagnostic as a FlyFuture analytics programme.

Easy Anti-Cheat & fair play

Protected Windows releases use Epic Online Services Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC). Security components start as part of the protected launch flow; protected multiplayer also establishes an EAC session and authenticates participating peers.

These services process player identifiers, platform and session information, authentication results, and technical security or integrity signals to help detect tampering and cheating. Anti-cheat technology can inspect information about the device and software running on it for those security purposes. The FlyFuture integration also receives integrity and peer-authentication outcomes to decide whether a protected session can continue.

Automated security checks can refuse or end a protected session. Declining required sign-in or preventing required anti-cheat components from running can make protected features unavailable. To question a FlyFuture session restriction, contact us using the details below; for an Epic account or EAC decision, the relevant Epic support or appeal process may also apply.

Read the Epic Games Privacy Policy and Easy Anti-Cheat information for Epic’s practices. We do not claim that Epic’s security records are stored only on your device or that we can independently delete every record held by Epic.

Why we use information

We use the information described above to provide requested game and website features; connect and authenticate players; maintain fair play and service security; administer the waitlist; deliver the updates you requested; respond to support, privacy, and creative enquiries; diagnose reported faults; and meet applicable legal obligations.

Where European Economic Area, UK, or similar data-protection rules apply, the relevant basis depends on the activity: consent for optional email updates; performance of a contract where information is necessary to provide an agreed service you request; legitimate interests for proportionate security, service maintenance, and responding to enquiries, balanced against your rights; or legal obligations where processing is required by law.

Reading this policy or merely visiting the website is not treated as consent to receive marketing emails. You can withdraw your permission for those messages without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

Who receives information

Access depends on the service you use. We work with providers to deliver those services and share information with session participants where multiplayer requires it.

Netlify Website & forms
Hosts the website and processes waitlist and removal submissions for the team. Its services also handle hosting and security information. Privacy notice.
Epic Games Sign-in & anti-cheat
Provides Epic account authentication, EOS Connect, and Easy Anti-Cheat, including the identity and security processing described above. Privacy policy.
Unity Online game services
Provides authentication, lobbies, and relay connectivity. Unity’s broader notice also describes products that FlyFuture may not use. Player privacy policy · Relay privacy overview.
Google Fonts & email contact
Receives the connection requests used to load Google Fonts. Messages sent to our published Gmail contact are processed through Google’s email services. Privacy policy.
Resend When welcome email is enabled
The optional welcome-email integration uses Resend to process recipient addresses and delivery information. When that integration runs, Netlify storage keeps a keyed identifier and delivery or opt-out status to limit repeat welcomes. A keyed identifier is pseudonymous, not necessarily anonymous. This does not mean automatic welcome delivery is currently enabled. Privacy policy.

Other players and external platforms. The multiplayer host and other participants receive information needed for shared gameplay and security checks. Discord, Steam, and other external services you choose to visit or use handle information under their own notices. Clicking a community link is separate from joining the waitlist.

We may disclose relevant information when legally required, to respond to a valid legal process, or where necessary and proportionate to protect people, enforce applicable rules, or address fraud and security incidents. We do not sell waitlist addresses or provide them to others for unrelated promotions.

Retention, security & transfers

Waitlist records. We keep signup information while it is needed for the updates you requested, until removal is handled, or until the list is no longer needed. Removal is reviewed by the team rather than performed instantly by the website. We may retain a limited opt-out or request record where needed to avoid contacting you again or document how a request was handled.

Support and opportunity enquiries. We keep correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to address the enquiry, manage any resulting collaboration, resolve disputes, and meet applicable obligations. We do not promise a fixed deletion period that applies equally to every record.

Game-service records. Retention varies by service and record. For example, Unity’s Relay privacy documentation states a 30-day retention period for its personal data; Unity Authentication identifiers are retained until deleted through its account-management mechanisms. These provider periods are not a promise that every FlyFuture, Epic, or support record is deleted after 30 days.

Security. The website uses HTTPS and hosted form processing. No online service or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep account credentials private, and do not include secrets in support messages.

International processing. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where legally required, transfers must use an appropriate safeguard, such as an applicable adequacy decision or contractual protections. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data.

Cookies & browser choices

The current website’s page code does not add advertising pixels, advertising cookies, or browser storage containing your email address. It does load Google Fonts and use Netlify hosting and forms, which receive the connection information described above.

The page code does not change its behaviour in response to a browser’s “Do Not Track” setting; it does not implement cross-site behavioural advertising tracking for that setting to disable. Browser opt-out signals are not permission to collect or reuse information. If we introduce optional analytics, advertising, or other materially different tracking, we will update the notice and provide any choices or consent controls required by law before using it.

You can use browser controls to block third-party requests or clear locally stored website data. Blocking a provider may affect fonts or forms. Clearing your browser or uninstalling the game does not itself delete a waitlist submission, support email, or record stored by an online service.

Your choices & privacy rights

Email updates. Use the removal form below or email us to withdraw from the waitlist. The team reviews removal requests before further updates are sent. Where an automated welcome email includes an opt-out link, that link stops the welcome automation; it does not by itself erase stored form submissions or every separate mailing list. Contact us for complete waitlist removal.

Your information. Depending on your location and the law that applies, you may have rights to know about or access your information, obtain a portable copy, correct it, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or opt out of legally defined sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. Where applicable, you may also challenge a qualifying automated decision and request human review, appeal a privacy-request decision, or complain to your local data-protection authority.

Send requests to cklineyt@gmail.com with enough information to identify the relevant email or player account and the action you are requesting. We may need proportionate verification before disclosing or deleting account-related data. Do not send a password or identity document unless specifically needed through an appropriate secure process. An authorised representative may contact us where permitted by law.

We will respond within the deadlines that apply to your request and explain applicable limitations, verification needs, or extensions. Exercising applicable privacy rights will not result in unlawful discrimination. Deleting information necessary for authentication or security may mean the related online feature can no longer be provided.

For information a provider controls independently, you may also need to use that provider’s privacy-request process. For information processed on our behalf, contact us so we can help coordinate the request. Removing a FlyFuture record does not automatically delete your Epic, Steam, Discord, or Google account.

Children & younger players

The email waitlist and direct personal-information submissions are not intended for children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not submit your details. Where your country requires a higher age or parental authorisation for the relevant processing, those requirements also apply.

A parent or guardian who believes a child has submitted information without the required permission can contact us to request review and deletion. We will take the steps required by applicable law. Platform age restrictions and parental controls also apply where relevant; an account on another platform is not, by itself, parental permission for every FlyFuture data practice.

Changes to this policy

FlyFuture is in development, and its features and providers can change. We will revise this page when our practices materially change and update the date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice or ask for consent before using information for a materially different purpose. A new policy version does not automatically opt you into marketing or override your privacy choices.

Contact & waitlist removal

For privacy questions, access or deletion requests, or concerns about a game-related record, contact the FlyFuture development team. Use the subject “FlyFuture Privacy Request” and identify the service your request concerns.

You can copy the address into your email service if the button does not open an email app. Do not post account identifiers or other private information in public Discord channels.

Leave the email waitlist

Request removal from the list. Requests are reviewed by the FlyFuture team; this does not remove your entry instantly or delete your game account.

Having trouble with the form? Email cklineyt@gmail.com with the address to remove.
